85 1.6 td, wrist pin bearings, WHERE to buy them?
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:12:02 pm »
Can I buy replacement connecting rod bushings for the wrist pin?  If so, where is the best (innexpensive and reliable) place?
Thanks,
Greg

Pre chamber replacement?
« Reply #5 on: March 13, 2009, 09:19:43 am »
Hey Mike, I looked at your site.  Nice.  The machinist called first thing this morning and found some in Portland.  Otherwise I would have gone with you.
I had my head rebuilt by an aluminum head rebuilder, and he said my prechambers were cracked.  Can they be replaced?  If so, do you carry these or can you get these also?  Do you know who could replace them?  I have had all the work done already on the head, but am concerned that with cracked pre-chambers, I could end up with pieces of them in the cylinder under prolonged boost.  85 Jetta, 1.6td.
Thanks,
Greg
