Oil feed line fitting size's
« on: March 08, 2009, 11:46:19 pm »
I'm tring to make a custom turbo oil feed line. Would anyone know what the fitting size would be in "AN" or "-" for the stock oil feed line.
Would it be this one?

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-013&Category_Code=ATP-FTG1

I'd like it to be the same ID size, or would it make any diffence?

Any info please. Thanks.

Well, I wanted to post an update to the question stated in the post.
I did find the correct fittings for the custom feed line.
The end that fits the oil filter flange and the K24 inlet are the same. Metric 12mm. x 1.5. The other end of the fitting to connect to the oil line is
JIC 1/4", which does not need any addapters to put the two together, if using JIC oil line fittings. Which are more common and less expensive than metric.
Turns out that the style of fittings and oil line look really good. Almost OEM.
I'll get some pics later this week if anyone is interested.
Anyone care to comment?

Just to add some info - all fittings on oil lines etc on our cars are of the type DIN which stands for Deutsch Industrial Norm

It's the German equivalent of a JIC or any other type of fitting.

http://www.discounthydraulichose.com/

has a very good selection of all types of fittings at great prices

I had a tough time sourcing fittings to come from a k14 to the oil pan fitting on a Vanagon TD conversion I did and these guys had all the goods I needed.
Contact me for hard to find for idi and tdi parts

Ok, sorry for the delay in getting these pics.
I hate this camera.

I'm ruuning the rubber line for now but for the drag car, it will be braided stainless.
