just as a note, all the gasser intakes(as far as I know) require flipping and clearancing of the exhaust manifold.

and all of the gasser manifolds are light-years better than the TD ones

score one for the VNT! i kept my turbo just like its supposed to be. its close tho. would have been alot easier without the egr port. am still thinking about cutting it off. and welding it closed.

so, this is a little off topic, but how did you lift your rabbit? my rabbit sees as much off road driving as it sees on the road. ground clearance is alright, but theres been a few times where 8 more inches woulda been ***in'.

How about the 1Z exh. manifold with either a K03 or T15. Turbo is on the bottom of the manifold. Also I have 89 Jetta N/A it has a intake similar in shape as the older N/As but it has a plastic airbox. When you take the airbox off, there is thr intake runners(flat surface) I thought maybe a 2-3" square or should it be round tubing welded across the runners(ported to match runners) and feed it from IC or turbo. Do you know the manifold I talking about?

my car was lifted with spacers under the rear spring perch and cut down jeep cherokee springs up front.

later this year I will be putting adjustable height coils on it with custom plates made to relocate the strut tops lower so that I can adjust the wheel weight bias and height for rallycross

so with the jeep coils you still used the regular strut towers right? and how big of tires did you put under it without rubbing?

I never ran tires any bigger than I could before lifting(mostly because I bought brand new tires before I lifted it and was too poor to spring for a new set before the ones I had wore out)

but you should be able to run a big tire, the only rub spot that might be a problem is in the rear of the fenderwell when turning full lock

1y manifolds are easily the best, although you wont fit a t3 near these! with a VNT you would have the best setup!
