Im am doing the fuel lines tomorrow on my gas to diesel aaz conversion. Its a 91 vanagon. I took out the stock fuel pump But what Im wondering is will the IP be enough to pull the fuel from the vanagon tank or will I need a small low pressure lift pump?
as long as you prime the lines, no life pump is needed. The injection pump has a strong pump.
adding a small lift pump wouldn't be a bad idea, as long as it was 5 psi or so. if everything is running as it should, it won't really make much difference.

That's what I did on my diesel install to my dodge caravan. My pump allows free flow through it w/o running. I have an AUX switch to power it - like when I change the fuel filter.
ive got a cheap little electric fuel pump for a lift pump. and honestly i can say that my car has more power with the lift pump. and the best thing of all.. i never lose my prime to my pump. just turn the key on, and wait a few seconds. it fills the pump up fast.
