Stripping 95 Golf with AAZ - What should I keep?
« on: February 25, 2009, 10:57:41 am »
Hello everyone,

I'm currently stripping a 95 Golf with a AAZ. The body is junk, the motor doesn't run and is already spoken for- by local high school auto shop.

What is valuable and should be kept or even sold?

The plots thickens as I will also be retiring my 95 Jetta aaz, daily driver this summer ( when I find a less rusty replacement) - so I will have even more  extra parts. The bottom line is that I don't want to store a pile of useless parts as my storage space is limited

thanks

Aivars

Some rare stuff on an MK3:

- diesel cluster,  especially if it includes a tach
- headlight switch, if it has the fog option
- fuse/relay panel... or at least the engine control module
- heated seat controls, harness etc, if equipped

Not so rare stuff, but potentially useful on the open market:

- cruise control module
- alarm module
- diesel fuel tank pickup with sender
