Oil Cooler options for a 1.9td?
« on: August 08, 2005, 08:23:23 pm »
I have a 93 golf TD, what are my options for a oil cooler, it reaches 240-260 on hot days or just some hills, I figure it's robbing a bit of power for sure.

MKI Golf GTI, Scirocco etc had a factory oil cooler assembly, I have one mounted on my T3 with longer pipes.
All factory parts.
You'll need to get an adapter from M10x1 to M14x1.5 for the turbo oil feed or redrill one of the holes to suit a M14x1.5 thread so you can attach your turbo oil feed.
There is a adapter from a Garret turbo, It has a VW part number if you need me to find it.
A small rib has to be cut to allow fitment of factory oil cooler/warmer thingy.
