« on: February 18, 2009, 06:31:15 pm »
Hello all,

I am looking for all the brackets that I need to convert my mk1 from A/C to no A/C.  Send me a PM with what you have.  Thanks in advance.

On my Mk2 there was no difference in the bracket that bolts to the block. The only difference was instead of using the bracket that bolts to the head on the A/c setup it uses the bar and toothed wheel like on the  gassers.

Lets see if this picture( via www.vagcat.com) works...

Top is AC...bottom is NON A/c
Turbo boost libido and passive restraints
And as of yet I haven't heard even a single complaint
I've got the tools of the trade and a fuel injected heart

I think I have the bracketry to convert from AC to NON-AC. I do not have the alternator or alt pulley though. Let me know if you're interested.

Alternators for the NON-AC can be had new for about $50-130 online or at your local parts store.

I'd be interested in your old brackets if you wanted to swap. I'd only do it if you had ALL the brackets (there are 4 total for AC cars,  including the cast-iron one).

Let me know.

Jeremy

I have all the brackets, as I drive the car daily.  I would rather just buy the the outright.

Thanks though.
