1992 Passat TDI Syncro Wagon 4wd

AHU 1.9L Turbo Diesel - full electronic conversion.  I was told the engine had 115 TKM on it by the previous owner and the odometer matches this.
New timing belt and H20 pump.
Full Syncro driveline.
K24 Turbo
G60 Intercooler w/ quality custom made charge air piping
Custom 2.25" downpipe. The rest of the exhaust is 2.5" straight pipe and it exits just forward of the rear wheel.  It's pretty loud.  I can include a stainless magnaflow muffler that'll need installing.
All 4 wheel bearings new.
Original Indian Red paint.  Still presentable.
Pretty solid body overall but does have some rust: drivers outer rocker weak in a few areas, 1 small area of the left rear wheel wheel and the passenger front door by the window scraper.  Also the rear hatch has some surface rust.  There is other surface rust here and there.  I have some other Indian Red doors that I can include with the sale.
The undercarriage is very solid.
It has a bruised Left rear corner.  It could be pushed out with a port-a-pack.
It shifts nicely.
Brakes strongly and evenly.
It doesn't pull nor have wheel wobble at speed.
Power: steering, brakes, windows, mirrors and central locks.  Apparently pw are quite rare in syncros.
Heated seats- both work.
Clean non smoker beige cloth interior.
No sunroof.
Has rare Passat wagon Trailer hitch w/ light plug.
Body has 250 tkm/150 k miles.

The car hasn't been licensed in a year or two.  I drove it last summer for a few weeks on a temp permit.  It was reliable but I haven't driven much it since.  I won't make promises of a 2000 mile trouble free trip, that's your call ;-)   Not very many of these Syncro wagons around especially TDI.  These things are virtually unstoppable in the snow!

I was going to transplant into a B4 wagon but haven't got around to it.

Clear Ontario title.  Reduced from $3800 US  to $3200 US obo.

Thanks for the bump Myke.  Look in your PMs I sent you one.

SR Heer,  I've been asked that several times.  I never calculated it when I drove it for whatever reason.  With the stock G60 gearing around town will net better mpg than 70-75 on the highway for sure.  A taller 5th gear would help this out immensely.

I fired the car up this AM. Started good considering I haven't attempted to start it since the fall and it was pretty chilly last night -7 C / 19F plus a healthy wind chill.

Tachometer works properly. The cluster is from the donor car. The speedo however is not working. I don't recall it not working before but it's funny how I can remember certain non-crucial data and fail to recall something as seemingly obvious as that detail.

I took the car out for a drive but not too long considering it doesn't have plates :D  2500 RPMs= 55 MPH and 3000 RPMs= 66 mph according to my GPS. The car would no doubt benefit from the addition of a taller 5th gear.

The turbo spools nicely and the car pulls strong.

According to the previous owner the downpipe was custom made by Fast German Performance in BC.
