Metaleve (Mahle) are made in Brazil I think. They're pretty good. I think Jack at vwdieselparts uses them in all his rebuilds. They're cheaper than the Kolbenschmidts or the Goetze, and I think they hold up just as well.

You should be able to find a set for about $200-250. By comparison, the KS brand made in Germany will run you about $350-400.

Just a thought in case you can't find some used.

Not sure. Autohaus AZ carries parts from WorldPac and IMC, but for some reason, Autohaus does not show the Metal Leve pistons, but I know for a fact that IMC lists them, but it looks like they may not have any at thier eastern US warehouses.

You could try Frank at Franks TDIs in MO, or Mike W here on GTD.

Or, search the internet.

Yup south of dayton. mykeW is in ohio too. south east of where my parents live.
