The Eco's cylinder head vanished from the machine shop so I lost a few things.

Injectors
T-Belt tensioner stud

maybe other things, can't remember....

I dropped it off there to get checked. 2 months later, after moving to a new house, etc. I went back, and they can't find it. I had no receipt. It was bad any way....just had those parts left on it.

Oh well, anyone have rebuilt units, new etc.

well, I wish I had a couple spare heads lying around, but they are crazy hard to come by in my neck of the woods.

good luck finding what you need, and go ahead and give the shop hell anyway.

The stud kit is available from the dealer pretty cheap. The 1998 2.0 liter gas motor used some STOOPID tensioner deal, and alot of folks (including the dealer) have been retrofitting the earlier style stud and simple tensioner. Ask your local dealer, or get the PN off Vagcat.

Or, autohaus AZ should sell the kit aftermarket. Look up 1998 Jetta 2.0 gas and look in the timing components area.

I'm going to change the injectors in my 86 TD Jetta on Fri so I will have a core set, when I remove them I can pm you if you like. I won't know what kind of shape they're in until they're out. Too bad you already got a new head I have two here I'd like to sell, one is almost brand new aftermarket and one is good used.
