Time to sell up i'm afraid! As much as I hate to do it the GTD has to go!
The spec is pretty high and there are loads of subtle mods and a few engine tweaks to make it a bit pokier!
Its a 1991 5dr Golf GTd in rare Montana Green (only 11 sold when they were new and now only 5 left!) Its on 154K with Part documented service history - its had an oil change every 8000 miles since I got it at 103K. It uses no oil or water - however the oil cooler was ruptured and let oil into the collant system so there is still some residual oil in the system since I replace the cooler! It had its timing belt done at 143K. Its also just had a new battery
The egnine has had the fuel turned up, the boost pin mods and the recirc spring disabled. It pulls very well and flies once its moving!
Suspension is lowered on Bilstien Shocks and 55mm lowering springs - brakes have been upgraded to vented ones. Wheels its on at the moment are G60 steels (genuine) 6x15's with 195/50/15 Toyo T1R's (2 are new on the rear, front could do with changing soon) It also had a new genuine Steering rack (NOT PAS!) for the previous MOT
There is a full Jetex exhaust system fitted along with a derestricted airbox and jetex panel filter to aid the breathing.
The interior is a LHD G60 one (late spec with the red strips) front seats, rear seats and door cards. It has electric windows in the front and I have everything required to put them into the rear too. It also has a Vortex centre console I have relocated the radio into ther so I can have oil temp, voltabe and boost gauge in the Radio slot - there currently isnt a radio in the car as its been in storage!
Now the bodywork - it has the genuine 90 spec big bumpers, arch trims and side skirts. An dlooks pretty good. However the d/s wing has a small leading edge dent and a scratch in the paint on the bumper from when it was in storage!

Also there is some rust starting in the seams under the tail lights and will probably need a bit of welding (quoted £100 to fix by local bodyshop) but thats the only part of the car that need any work
I'm in Crieff in Scotland (50 miles north of Edinburgh) The car has a full 12 month MOT as of the 5th of November and passed with only an advisory on 1 of the front tyres (after 6 months in storage), but it has no Tax or insurance currently.
I know what these cars go for and even though the bodywork on mine isnt 100% it would make a brilliant rolling restoration project for someone - it probably one of the rarest Mk2's in the UK.
I'm after £700 for it or nearest offer
