sorry i didn't remove the intermediate spring. I was confusing my self as usual.
I did what zukgod1 did
In my opinion Vincent did it right,.. sort of.
He did the right spring,... but what I did was remove the spring and put a 1/16" thick (I think it was 3/16 hole) washer in place of the spring.
As soon as you remove the spring you'll know what I mean. The spring holders only have a 1/16" gap between them. Fill it and it won't compress.
Results: power all through the range and no surging (I don't mean turbo surge),.. and a smooth idle.
It will be hard to hold it at 2000 RPM when out of gear,... it will want to climb. But with it in gear there is no problems.
I removed the intermediate and replaced with a stack of M3 washers the same length as the spring.
I suffered a slight flat spot about 1600 - 1700 rpm that may or may not be linked to the gov mod
I never touched the main spring as I believed it would only effect the revlimit and not have any effect on the fuelling in the real world use rev range (I like to shortshift around 3000)
Am I wrong in this assumption?
