I have a mk3 golf with AAZ engine and the tensioner assembly for the serp belt has worn through the bushing at the front end of the tensioner rod and began to wear thorugh the alloy bracket. as such, the tensioner no longer functions correctly (lots of vibration) and it will stretch a new belt in less than 5000km. i believe this has also been the cause of my a/c compressor failing recently. (due to constant shock loading at low revs)
if anyone can supply me with a 2nd hand item in very good condition, or knows where i can source a new one from in the US that is willing to post to AUSTRALIA, please let me know.

i will verify thats the one I have but it sure as well looks like it. Im deleting AC on my 1.9 so im going to pick up the bracket from a mk2 diesel so the alternator becomes the tensioner.
so this is the one I have
