Broken water flange
« on: January 04, 2009, 01:32:32 pm »
Does anyone know of a source for a replacement water flange (if that's what it's called) for a 81 1.6 L ?  It's the piece that bolts up to the head and accepts the upper radiator hose and hose from the water pump. I've done some searching and not having any luck.  The one I have also has a sensor for AC but is not necessary as the AC is long gone.

It's metal and major broken. Cracked all the way through and the flange broke off between one of the bolt holes and the tube. I would consider weld repair but it's pretty well coroded.

Later plastic one would probably work fine. Have fun with the spring clamps. :D

After further research by taking the p/n from the original flange (068-121-133-B) it has been superceded by 068-121-133-R. Part is available through the dealarship or BusDepot.com. The dash R has an additonal port that will need to be blanked off with a bolt and washer. Should receive in a few of days.
