I've been doing that for years... My wife and anyone that has ever stayed at my house use words like "fuel" and "high octane" when referring to the coffee I make . :lol:

Seriously, I like it, I'd like to know more... I am guessing they dry the grounds and then press out the remaining post brew oils. I wonder what the ratio of used grounds to a gallon is.

This could open up a new market for companion appliances for home use also.

I saw this on TV just yesterday!

Claimed that if they were collected on a wide spread scale it would provide some insane amount of extra diesel fuel. Like in the millions of litres/year. (or something i don't remember the numbers i just remember thinking, "that's lotsa extra (cheap i would imagine) fuel!")

very interesting, seeing how much coffee we drink over here in France.
oh! and by the way ... biofuels are forbidden here ...

some underground green groups make their own but if you get caught smelling like a "french fry" pan ...

you know here in Ontario we have a compost bin as well.. i bet that could be processed into biodiesel as well (coffee grinds are disposed in there). Tim hortons could make a killing as well...

biodiesel could also be made from sewage... man that would be some ***ty fuel :lol: NOBODY would go near your tailpipe!!!

Lots of stuff blows up if you squish it fast enough in an oxygen rich environment. Whether or not it's cheap to isolate is the question. :roll:

Well when they work out how to make a kit for home bio-ethanol production from cellulose, you'll be able to power your car from household waste, a la Doc Brown in Back to the Future II.

Add that to the list of reasons why I don't like France...

1. Trying to run the UN
2. People in Paris (don't even get me started)
3. Citroen (when was the last time they made a good looking car, at least Renault has the Clio Sport V6.)
4. I thought Germans were lousy drivers... :lol:
5. Refusing to acknowledge biodiesel as a legitimate and effective alternative fuel. (probably because it's dirty ewww.)

ethanol is a bit of a joke though... considering it only contains about 80% of the energy content of regular gas.. or less?

France sucks if they won't recognize biofuels... why don't the people have a riot about that??? :lol:
