local machanic said i had a small oil leak and i need to replace the crankcase vent tube?
to be aunest is that that black hard tube thats at the front of the motor that comes off that puck thing and goes down to the block?
is this if done but ones self easy to put on any headaches along the way?
I'm guessing you have the 1.9 AAZ engine, if that's the case then yes it's the plastic tube that runs from the valve cover to the front of the block.
It shouldn't be that hard to replace if you know how to run a wrench.
On mine, the hose just pulls out of the hockey puck, and at the other end there's just a small clip holding it in place, which you pull out.
It's normally not the pipe itself that's the problem, but the part that bolts to the block. Get both parts. It's an easy fix.
