Turbo choices for AHU TDI

Well, i have a T3 and a GT2056v. I would like to know which one is a better fit for my vr6 tdi swap. I know that everyone are in love with the T3 on the AAZ but i would like something that i can daily drive, yet get decent power as well. Also, what rpm range can i expect these to start spooling?
I plan on PP520 or 764 nozzles, 2.5 dowpipe and exhaust. Basically i need a nice balance between power and daily driver.

I'd imagine the 2056 will spool way sooner and would probably provide more than enough boost as you want a more balanced setup rather than raw power. I may be a bit biased having a VNT though  . My 1749 will easily make 22 psi(safely). What kind of boost do you want to run?

I am thinking along that same line of 22 to 25 psi with a rocketchip tune. how fast can i get it to spool? RPM?

It'll spool as fast as you want Jeff to make it. That's a "small" turbo . I just had my car retuned by Jeff this weekend for my GT2260V and even with basically stock mapping until 2500, it follows requested stock boost about 90% perfectly. 10 psi at 2000 and 15 at 2200 is no problem with my big turbo, let alone a vnt20. When the tuning comes fully on at 2500-3000 rpms, it shoots from 15 to 30psi in the time it takes to blink. All of the RC tuned vnt20 cars i've ridden in almost spooled too quickly for my liking haha.

If you are running the ecu then definitely go with the vnt. You'll love it. It will feel way torque-ier than the T3 and it will have more top end power too.

On second thought, I don't think the AHU ever had a VNT so you will have no way to control it unless you make a mechanical or homebrew electronic actuator.

We have a KermaTDI hybrid turbo on our 1Z (wastegated) and it works great with their tunes. Plenty of boost plenty fast and kiss grip goodbye as you shred through 1st and into 2nd. lol
Their VNT-20 also spools up pretty quick and keeps the power coming strong.

What about a GT2052V? Would this work well on a 1.9TDI(mech) or a 1.6TD engine?
Thanks

The AHU ecu can run the AFN software, so can run a VNT.
If you can have good control and already own the vnt20 there is no reason at all to run an ancient wastegate turbo
