To the two young men who were having so much fun doing smoky burnouts in a public parking lot on Water St. in downtown Halifax in the middle of the day. We see and admire the long black streaks on the uphill slope, BUT
GOTCHA

To be fair, that contact looks more like the cop passed him driving by, put his window down to ask for more information, that cop car looks pushed wayyy over, and the lights aren't on, so they were probobly just sitting there when the ricer drove by.
Highly doubtful that any charges were laid unless the cops caught them in the act, there was video surveillance footage. Charges are usually not laid with only eyewitness testimony.

It's private property, at most you could be charged with trespassing right?

In Ontario that could get you an "Unnecessary noise". Don't ask how I know.

i know here in Ont. you can get in big trouble for 'stunt' driving. it includes anything from spinning the tires, to squealing the tires going through a turn, or breaking the rear end loose while going through a turn.
but i'm pretty sure it only applies to the highway traffic act, and not private roads/property...
stewardc, what was the ticket issued for???
