Can't make boost past 15PSI

Ok so this is mostly for Dr. Diesel, but anyone can chime in... I have this boost controller installed, bought it off someone, but was made by Dr. Diesel.
I digress, I can't get my boost up past 15lbs. Can anyone tell me if this looks like it is setup ok?

It's basically an adjustable two contact hobbs pressure switch, an air solenoid valve and a bleeder. It goes between the wastegate and it's boost reference source.

What turbo do you have, and have you checked for any boost leaks, both on the main hoses and the small lines to the gauge, LDA...?

Well its working cause i'm making 15 lbs, but thats at WOT... I guess its best to just wait for Dr.D to take a long since he designed it.

If it's not hooked up and you get more than 15psi (if that's what your going for) you will know the boost controller is doing it's thing.
Maybe one of the Hobbs switches is only adjustable to 15 psi?
I'll watch for DrDiesels reply as well.
kinda interesting really. I control my max boost with fuel.
WOT in 3rd or 4th I can hit 30 psi with my current setting.

well thats why I'm a little worried. instead of having a T somewhere to gauge boost, I'm actually gauging the boost off of the boost controllers Bleeder valve... Which may mean that i'm actually making 20-30 lbs of boost....
You can see where i mean in the second picture

I think your ok on the gauge but I would rather see the gauge hooked up at the manifold rather than the turbo.
I mean in your system there shouldn't be much difference as your not running a IC but ya never know.

You mean both pyro and moost should be measured at the manifold?

Thats where I prefer.
Boost at the intake manifold where it actually goes in the engine and EGT in the exhaust manifold before the turbo.
Just helps to get the best reading the closer to the action you are.

you need to "T" off between your LDA and manifold for your boost gage!
you will get a better boost gage reading!
that boost controller should be closer to the turbo!
i would infact just get a 5buck E=bay special they work great and are simple!
thats what i used on my 1.6TD motor

Not sure I understand the issue... what if you just disconnected the contraption, installed a normal tee for the boost gauge (windshield washer tee from any parts store will work), and see what boost you get ??

Have you disabled the BOV at the other end of the inlet manifold?
Remove the screw and replace with a 25xM6 bolt and tighten it down well.

you could always try using an air compressor to test the system... run it up to 15 psi and check for leaks. if its bleeding air to the wastegate actuator, then you know theres a problem with it.
how does it adjust? do you tighten that nut on the cylinder? you will need to tighten the boost controller right down to make more than 15 psi unless you overfuel it. with mine tightened down good i dont think any air leaks past and i can make 20+ psi
