Apparently my wastegate is broken... What are my options?
SOLD: 92 Jetta TD, Giles Pump set to 30 psi, MLS Head Gasket, ARP head studs, Huge eBay intercooler, blocked WG, FK suspension, 1.9L AAZ downpipe to 2.5 inch straight back.

Current: 2000 TDi, 01M :(  DG Full skid plate, Cat 2 micron Fuel Filter, Scanguage II, 4700kHIDs, DG RacePipe

Sorry, I'm getting frustrated.

I Was told that the wastegate is F%$#ed, lack of boost would indicate stuck open since the BOV is blocked off.

sounds like the screw on the wastegate needs to be screwed down???

OK! I need to do this as well. where is this screw?
you can set the waste gate with said screw correct?

Depends on the turbo.

On the kkk turbos there is a screw in the middle of the waste gate you can clamp down to raise boost but on a T3.. If it's stuck open your going to need to take it apart I believe.

Is there a thread on that? I couldn't find one. (i have a t3. I don't know if its stuck open i just want to change it to 20 psi)

take the dp off (lots of penetrant) and give the wastegate dump valve some good taps to get it to close.  there is probably a good amount of buildup around it though...  maybe torch it to burn it off?

will torching it work? wont it kill the membrane that pulls the vane up?

I plugged it with JB weld. I took some pictures of that i think on my much anticipated 1.6td build thread

I plugged the 90 degree fitting that connects to the rubber line.
