  The bottom end isnt the weak link here.
  
  I mean it's cool and all but for $500.00 you could have ALL your internal parts paid for.

• Never hurts to have too much insurance.  I figure if im going to rebuild the block from top to bottom, and turbo it,  it cant hurt.
    I should beable to pick that up for about $100 less.

• yea.. unless you plan on going above 200 whp, the bottom end holds up real well.  instead buy some ARP main & rod studs for a fraction of the cost (it will reduce power robbing flex)
  
  andy2 made a main girdle for his 1.9 beast.  if you search hard enough you can find it.  it's under his compound thread.

• it looks as if thoes pictures have expired.

• Did you notice the Eurospec Main Bearing Girdles  is for I-4 with chain driven oil pumps. Our IDI VW's are not chain driven. Are the TDI flavors ?

• aren't some of the new PD/CR engines chain driven oil pumps???  or driven off a gear of the crank?
