Biodiesel end user survey
« on: October 15, 2008, 06:51:16 pm »
I'm a bit of a lurker, but I come to you for some help. I have an 84 TD Jetta I'm working on, but this is more in general:

I'm working on my senior design project this year at NC State University. My team is working through the Engineering Entrepreneurs Program which allows us to have a lot of flexibility on our project. We form a virtual company creating a product (our actual design project), which involves a lot of business research.

Our virtual company is called NC Future Fuels (http://www.ncfuturefuels.com). We are working on a process to convert trap grease (nasty brown grease) into biodiesel. As part of our market research for the project, we have a survey that we would appreciate feedback on.

If you have a diesel or drive one, please take a few minutes to fill out our survey:

Thanks!
Bill

I just sent one too............
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

We have a company here where I live that has been doing this for a while now. Works out pretty good and can feasibly run a large cities public transportation (gotta love fast food!)

cool stuff though. My senior design last year was the production of fuel from algae. good luck to ya
