• I just bought a 95 TD Jetta with the 1.9L engine. I bought it for it's economy as I could no longer afford to drive my truck. I was searching for a chip to pick up the performance a little and found this site. I have done a lot of the 1.9 mods on these pages and I am very impressed with this car. Amazing performance for the economy!
  My question is on the govenor mod listed for the 1.6L TD engines - does this mod apply to the 1.9L also? There is also a lot of discussion around which spring to shim (or replace with solid stock?). Also where could one source a 1.6L TD Boost pin?
  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

• Theres no chip.the engines completely mechanical.get a 1.6 boost pin and turn it up!

  junkyard is your best bet.  you pretty much ruin that pump for anyone else though  :lol:
  
  or you could just add the ramp to your 1.9 pin.  the steeper the slope, the more fuel under boost  :twisted:
