FS/Feeler: running 1985.5 Jetta TD in Vancouver, BC

Putting my car up here to see if any of you folks can make use of it:

I have a White Jetta TD .... 1985.5 (hydraulic) 502,000km
 - Wolfsburg Edition with Sunroof
 - No power steering (I love it but the girlfriend doesn't!)

Engine needs work.... intermediate shaft bearings, most likely. However, the engine does run fine (low oil pressure at idle)

Includes the following:

- Badgeless front grille
- 92 GTI front seats
- Tokico blue's - rides very low but pretty rough!
- 17" wheels with good low-profile rubber
- Magnaflow exhaust
- NEW Oil Pump (2008)
- New battery (2008)
- Some new hoses (2008)
- Tank of B50 and some Stanadyne Diesel additive
- Receipts for work (mostly brakes) over $1000 in last 2 years
- BOSCH Injection Pump seal kit (I never got around to doing it)

THE BAD:
 - Oil pressure is low, likely needs shaft bearings
 - I stripped a couple threads on the oil pan (no leaks on the new seal yet)
 - Stripped thread on the oil drain plug (using universal drain plug)
 - Injection Pump needs re-sealing
 - Needs alignment
 - I find the 5spd tricky at times, but other people have driven the car and said it's "fine" or "OK" - as good as you can expect for the mileage

Despite the huge mileage, it does run well and has started every time for the past year. Brakes are in good shape, so it's safe to drive, and actually drives quite well. Selling because I don't have the time and place to work on this car anymore. If anyone's interested, let me know. CAD $800 OBO

get a can of rust check from cdn tire and spray that on the shift linkage.  right into the parts.  the shifter should loosen right up.  if the linkage isnt the problem though, its more likely to be that the tranny oil needs to be changed.  i did both and my shifter works awesome! now if only i could fix the 2nd gear 'crunch' if i stab it in too early...
