hi i have a 1.9td, just wondered if any body knows the base setting for the max fuel screw
Unless you marked it when it was changed it will be nearly impossible to get it back to stock.
It is very sensitive to change and as Andrew said, it is dependent on the positioning of many other adjustments.
Matt
ok ill just try and tune from where it is thanks for your help
to give you an idea my 86 1.6 hydro pump had 12 threads out of tamper proof collar.
Sort of on the same topic:
My idle screw was altered to make the engine idle properly and once i fixed the rough idle (timing for the most part) i just backed the fuel screw out because the idle screw is a pain to get at. I'm doing a bit of an over haul in november and im just wondering how to set the pump safely to these specs (below).
anyone have any guides or ... advice for setting all three screws to where they should be? For example
fuel screw in enough to make 30 psi of boost and the max fuel set properly as to avoid run aways. i was just wondering if there were guides or steps to follow to get the most out of the pump.
So then the idle screw comes last to compensate for the fuel screw im guessing?
can anyone educate me on this?
hope i didn't jack this thread!
Thanks!
It differs greatly from pump to pump.Theres no way to get a base setting,as some pumps have been rebuilt and calibrated.
Almost all of the injection pump settings rely on each other. You will almost never get the pump back to original settings. You can get close but like everyone has said, every pump is different.
