I can not get my crank to water pump belt to line up. I installed a new water pump (40 mm hub) and now nothing lines up. Do the make different pumps? I do not have the old one to compare with.

Did you use your original pulley or was one supplied with the new pump?

Do you, by chance, have the pulley simply facing the wrong way???
How far off in distance (mm.)?

It would appear as though the shaft simply wasn't pressed in as far on the rebuild??

Some of the newer water pumps come with a metal/rubber gasket that is notably thicker than the fiber gasket that the Rabbits used. It's not enough however, to make the pulleys run out too much, but it can make a difference of about 1/2mm.
What brand WP did you use? Did you replace the whole assembly (pump and housing), or just the pump?

it almost looks as if something is out of alignment, like on an angle.. take a pic looking at the block and down the line of the pulley's
i too like the look of cat yellow on a block
reminds me of all the tonka stuff as a kid.
