1.9 l oil capacity
« on: October 08, 2008, 10:40:22 am »
So i installed a 1.9 na into my transporter to replace the 1.7 l . I haven't installed the dipstick yet, and so just dumped what the old motor used-4 liters. Could it be that the larger motor with hydralic lifters has a higher oil capacity?  If so how much ?

See, i'm trying to remember how much i used to put in the 1.7. I'm sure it was more than 4 liters. So i guess 4 l +i liter for the filter+ about another 1/3 l ? Problem is my old dipstick doesn't fit, nether the dipstick/funnel combo.
