Battery Light
« on: October 07, 2008, 12:11:16 pm »
Question: flickering battery light (very dim but i can see it flicker sometimes only recently though)

Pre-existing issues:
too much pressure in the cooling system from head cracks between valves
so, in turn, the temp light flashses all the time and the temp gauge doesn't read anything (rarely, it will read the middle of the temp gauge when it's hotter, i suspect, than 90 degrees.)

I can't pin point what exactly all the conditions are when the light flickers but i just remember making the note to my self to ask about it. Its extremely dim, i've only seen it flicker at night and my dash lights don't work. It does it for a short period of time too: 2-3 seconds

Put a voltage gauge on the alt when running to see what it says?
