Stupid Head stud Question
« on: October 27, 2008, 07:28:36 pm »
Okay, i'm sure the answer to my question is here somewhere but here it goes. I have an '84 1.6n/a I'm gonna do a rebuild and turbocharge it. SO therefore i'm gonna go with headstuds. Is this thing 11mm or 12mm? If its 12mm is the ARP # 251-4701? I want to be sure before I order parts. (need to get as many parts before rebuild as possible since its my daily driver)

You're 84 should be 12mm bolts...    ('82 ish was the changeover)
And yes that should be the part number for the studs you need....

If no one exchanged the engine in the past...you should have a JK code block and probably an F designate head....12 mm.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
