Well it turns out I'm a genious idiot. I *thought* the tranny was siezed so I ordered up a rebuild kit and started studying my bentley. Once I put the tranny up on the table I knew that it wasn't siezed and the piece I was trying to turn isn't suppose to turn but I figured I was this far, why not go all the way.

Pictures showing my stupidity below :)

Was step 2 kinda awkward with Giles around or did you not do this in Giles' surgically clean injection shop. I wouldn't bring a Tranny in there either.

That's the valve body. New trannys use electric solenoids to control the tranny, these old ones use hydraulic pressure. I have no idea what goes on in that contraption. I just cleaned it and put it back together.

I did it in the shop. There were no pumps around or anything. Some of the pumps we get are way filthier then that transmission so it really isn't much different. You just have to clean up afterwards so the bench still sparkles.

Step 2 will occur if the thing works afterwards

You must think I have money

The nice thing about the auto is you don't need to take the diff or final drive apart, it's completely seperate
