Hi, is the governor mod similar on this engine as to the usual vw setup, as i think the pumps are similar bosch set-ups? timing advance etc also applicable?

Im getting a peugeot 306 1.9d turbo for free and want it for track abuse, need lots more power than the stock 90bhp, expect a straight through exhaust, foam airfilter, larger intercooler, and pump governor ditch if its similar to the vw unit.

hopefully will have quite the little hot diesel hatch, pity it wont be road legal

It exactly the same in the 505td.I used the lda from one to go to a na pump. Some subtle changes in spring rates, but very similar, and is working in a vw.

The 505 has a different engine.

Your 306 has a xud9te-engine and if it has a Bosch IP then the mods are alike.
I have a Peugeot Expert with the same engine, just came back from a test drive after I rotated the boost pin. It has an aggressive pin just like a 1.6TD.
If you live in europe you might want to check out a fmic from a Pug Expert, I guess you have the tiny IC on top of the engine?

oh yea, forgot about this, it turned out to be scrap anyway, needed a head gasket to start the list then shocks, breaks, rot removal, steering rack, etc etc etc, ahwell, removed all thats needed and its going to scrap tomorrow, should be atleast £100 of scrap metal weight in it.
