Timing Diesel 1.6
« on: September 22, 2008, 10:19:41 am »
I sent my 85 VW Jetta Diesel car to a mechanic to have the head gasket changed.  However, he is not familiar with the VW diesel construction (he works primarily with Mercedes diesels).
He has the Bentley manual, but still has questions about how to time the engine (piston/cam/IP).

2 questions:
1) Is there a tutorial on engine timing on here (I searched, but could not find one)
2) Is anyone willing to talk with him (or me) by phone and help us out?
If so, please PM me your number.
