ORIGINAL 1983 1.6 TD Rabbit (Pics added)
« on: September 17, 2008, 02:18:36 am »
Hey,

I've got an original Turbo Diesel Rabbit for sale.
Fires up like a champ, every single time.
309xxx kms.
Oil changed every 5000 kms for the 50k+ that I've owned it
fuel pump replaced 15k ago.
Apparently the engine was rebuilt around 240k.
Green in colour.
Located near Vancouver, Canada.

If there is some interest, I will post pics.

Not exactly sure what someone is willing to pay, so I'll say $1000 obo.

email me at [email protected]

Here are some pics. Sorry I didn't wash it. But I will do so for whoever comes to look at it. The interior is in good shape. Original rabbit floormats with the sweet bunny on them. The exterior is in pretty good shape. It's got a custom mandrel bent downpipe made by passenger diesel from a few years back. It was actually the car they used to build the prototype from for their downpipes! After the downpipe theres...well, not much as far as exhaust goes. So I can take care of that and then bump up the price or sell it as is. It's got a sunroof! There used to be a small leak that got onto the rear seat a little bit. That may have gone away though, cause it's dry now.

And now, what you've been waiting for.

Turbo injector lines though, I believe.

Upshift light is pretty darn rare on a Rabbit cluster ??

Correct. When I said in the post that the fuel pump was replaced I forgot to say that it was an NA pump. I didn't notice any loss in power when I switched pumps though.

Had someone look at it today who was very interested...

If nothing comes up for sure in the next day or two I'm sending it to the wolves!(craigslist)
