I have a 1.9TD with an ECO pump and want to change the LDA.
I have a 1.6TD pump and a 1.9TD pump and a newer 1.9TD pump(3 bolt flange). Which LDA should I use? I plan to use the 1.6TD boost pin, but is one of the LDAs better then another?
I also would like to keep the pump on the car if I can.
The pump also has the vacuum advance which serves no use. One of my pumps has the lever to connect the cold start to the upper adv. lever, should I use that?
I will also do the gov. mod while the top is off.
your eco pump is is the same mounting diameter as any of your other
1.9L pumps?
Giles
What do you mean by mounting diameter?
the bracket that the pump fits into are any of your other pumps 1.9L
turbo the same mounting diameter?
Giles
Yes they are all the same.
I would use the 1.9 with the 1.6 boost pin.The 1.6" if it wasnt ada" wont accept the timing advance rod/spring assembly.I think you could convert to earlier style cold sart lever "without linkage".Or you could use the 1.6 and remove the advance cantalever thingy!

Oh yeah your gonna have a hell of a time with it in the car.Im not saying it cant be done, but its difficult.Use the 1.6 9mm head and plunger.i think aaz eco uses 8mm(not sure)
My ECO pump has the 9mm plunger so I'm good there. The worst part is you have to remove the MAX fuel screw to get the LDA back on. Also the idle screw is in the way of one of the cap screws, i've removed it once with a ball allen wrench but almost stripped it. The advance linkage I will hook up so I can have a high idle in case I have a PTO (hehe jk).
Giles this is the pump some guy sent you a few weeks ago to test, he lives near you.
Does anyone know what the MPG difference is between ECO and not ECO?

The max fuel screw wont be bothered if it still has the collar on it.Just count your threads or put some white out on it,same thing with the idle screw.
I sent mine off to Giles and he did all the magic to it.
