this is a 1990 turbo diesel jetta. Car originally started as a gas car. The body has 262k on it. Most everything was swapped from the diesel down to the water seperator under the car. The motor just under 100k.
motor is an early TD with k24 turbo. Was fully rebuilt when it was swapped into the car about 7 years ago including 40 over pistons.
The timing belt was changed in april along with all the other belts. I just did the headgasket less than 800 miles ago. Also replaced intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, and coolant orings on the head.
Audi 14" alloys
2 brand new summer front tires, rears have about 30-40% left.
New fuel filter 500 miles ago.
New front pads rotors and slider bushings.
New front inner drivers CV boot.
Bypassed the rear proportioning valve and ran some new brake lines, stops on a dime now.
The body of the car is near perfect with only one small dent on the rear drivers door, and a dime sized area that has bubbled near the rear passenger door, cant see it unless you look hard. The car was repainted around the time of the swap with PPG Lacquer paint (no clear) and it still is very shiny if you keep up with waxing it. There is a few dings on the black plastic part of the bumpers too. but not cracked
Has a aftermarket cd player, nothing special but it works. and some kenwoods in the rear deck.
Interior of the car is very clean, floors are look great (had floor mats it hole life) and has new black carpeted floor mats in it now. The seats are in what i would say as good condition, not flat but they have some small as in tiny holes in them (almost like burns but it was never smoked in, unless the seats where swapped before i got it)
Things not 100% correct with the car:
The windshield was siliconed around the top by the previous owner, its not very pretty but it doesnt seem to leak.
A/C was never hooked up after the diesel was swapped in.
The glow plugs have a "starter" switch mounted above the headlights that you just hold in with the key on to run the glow plugs, works fine and is very simple.
The tab on the shifter that typically requires you to push down the shifter to go into reverse is broken so you dont have to push down to get the car into reverse, you just have to realize this and you wont have any issues.
Has the gas cluster with gas tach not hooked up.
been getting 40mpg around town and 47 on the highway.
Also have 4 brand new snow tires on stock steelies.
$3400 obo, europlate not included take $100 off if you dont want the snows.
