AAZ into a MK1, only slightly different
« on: September 06, 2008, 09:43:36 pm »
Here's my co-pilot, the AAZ

Soon to be installed into this

But first I had to make it better

From this

To this

Out with the old

Steal some donor parts from this

Watch Dave void his warranty

And now I need a mk2 NA exhaust manifold so I can put my new and improved NA AAZ motor into the Jetta, hopefully tomorrow.

Then later this week I'll have Giles build me a custom pump and that will go in and then it's off to the races.

And then brake work :(

Auto trannies are fruggen huge by the way!!

You're gonna love the combination of an AAZ and a Giles pump, scary scary torque.  Don't skip the EGT... you'll need it !!

Why? I won't have a turbo

Should be safe and slow... well decent. Just what my mom needs for a daily

My brother has a Giles pump on his AAZ. It's definitly a kick in the nuts difference. And we haven't even turned the boost up yet!

Yes this is the car I am putting together for my mom. I've been looking for a while for a clean automatic diesel for her to drive. She had a chevette (gas) last time so I think she'll enjoy this. I hope anyways

I should have some good pictures of the cable setup that I took for myself. It's pretty confusing at first how they did it.

Hey Sam, Haven't seen you around in some time, how are you doing?

I threw all the turbo parts in the scrap metal pile, I didn't want anyone to get sick from them  Duane bought them
