Ive got a 10mm plunger from a peug. installed.I repalced the longer delivery valves with the shorter vw type.Has anyone had problems with the valve swap?Im not getting fuel to my lines and am wondering if these arent letting fuel past for some reason.I measured the depth in the head,it is equaL to a small short valve head.

I was thinking the collar is blocking fuel. Its a pueg. application rated for 80hp (505 td)Or matbe my vw gov assembly is allowing this.

I had that issue with the 10mm tdi head, adjusted the screw (a lot) and now it behaves just like the 9mm did.
I guess the spill orifice isn't in the same place as the 9mm plunger and your control collar might be missing the orifice altogether, so the plunger can't build pressure.
I also remember reading about some delivery valves that only opened at 60Bar (I guess those are the TDI ones, to make a sharp rise in pressure, not sure)

Im working out some timing issues.Ive got it at 1.05mm and it seems like it needs more!It sounds gurgly, like a motor boat.No marbles.I wonder if the 10mm plunger is slowing the injection.

did you compare the back of the pump heads were the spring recess the same? you might of needed a upgrade spring kit? also sounds like you may have needed to use a 1.9 cam plate like gigaz is mentioning?

I've seen 10mm upgrades with the 2 and with the 3mm, I'm still experimenting with that as both seem to run.
Duzty, lift is measured on the cam disk itself, 1.6 are about 2mm and 1.9 about 3mm.
the profile is the same, only differers between IDI and TDI I believe.

I dont remeber, but it was the same part as the vw.If the part is the same (lift duration)then why would i need a spring swap?."yep"just checked.same springs.Where does the smoke screw come into play with this. Its still set for a peug app.If i increase start of delivery, cant i back off the full load?there for not running away?Sorry for the double post guys ill stop the generator posting.Im having run away issues as mentioned in other post.
