egt gauge question?

okay so i found my gauge but i have a few qeustions  am i buying just the gauge or is that the sensor 2 ?and will the gauge come with tap instructions and is the  temp  dangerous to exceed 950f   or  1250f  ? i havent done any mods except exhaust and i want to instal this and boost gauge befor i do so basically i was wondering if this gauge is suited to my 1992 1.6 td

use a drill press so you don't risk breaking it like I did mine:

A drill press is nice, but an (not cordless) electric drill with cobalt bits goes through that manifold like a hot knife through butter.  Pleanty of oil helps allot.

I've done 2 so far with out a problem.

And I switched both of mine from the VDO probes to the Spruce probes because they're faster than stink.  Its just an added bonus that they're not expensive.

just wanna say thanx for the good info. now next question. just wondering on turning up the pump. ive read through various postings on doing so. however the post that sticks out is when turning up the starwheel can u do this while the vehicle is running? if so great. all the help is awsome keep it coming. thanx chris.
