P/N needed AAZ valve cover gasket.
« on: August 14, 2008, 12:34:54 am »
Can some one help me out with a part number for the valve cover gasket for an AAZ? AutohausAz sells one for an AAZ that looks too much like one for a TDI (front is curved, not straight). Thanks

Thanks for the numbers for head gaskets. I would like to learn more about putting a 1.9 HG on a 1.6 motor. But I am having troubles finding a number for the Valve Cover Gasket for an AAZ.

Just drop Myke_w a PM, he can get you the gasket for a really fair price.

What would you like to know about using the metal head gasket?
myke can get that for you as well BTW..

Thanks for your help guys. I mostly was wondering what would need to be done to use a 1.9 HG on a 1.6. Do the oil passages line up? Water jackets? What about the difference in bore size. Will that have an effect on Compression? Is it really worth it? Thanks

3.0 mm difference in bore, defnitly worth it. If your engine is post 86 it is bolt on

I pm'd Myke but he is currently out of the VCG so I called the stealership for the number. I dont know why I didnt in the first place, but if anyone else can use the P/N it is 028 103 483H.
Stealerships price: $43.22
Autohaus: $20.27
Difference: $22.95
Now thats a lot of beer!
