I've heard that the 2.0 gasser blocks from the 93 to 95 jetta/golf had oil squirters....can't confirm this but it may be a source for piston squirters....
If you go to turbobricks.com and look in the performance forum there is a thread title "squiterizational mod" or something like that, a guy there ships around the tools needed to convert a non squirter Volvo gasser block into a squirter. I'm not totally familiar with how the squirters are set up in the VW TD, but it might be easier to put together a kit like the one on Turbobricks.

That is true. I think all aba motors and all 16v motors have them.

I've seen that, but I was trying for OE style squirters and the OE face cut angle... They are using a newer style squirter with banjo bolts... I'd prefer to retain the original design.

I previously had an '88 Scirocco 16V and I know the 1.8L 16V motors had them.
I have a 1.5L N/A that I would be interested in getting this done to...what's the final verdict and when to send>?
Im in
I am still in the planning phase of this. I need to figure out what's the most economical and desirable way to do this.
I guess I'm open to modding blocks to use this kind of squirter, it would be cheaper, but it's not like stock. No sure if anybody cares? Any body feel strongly either way?
Is there any way to have the squirters squirt MORE to help keep the pistons cooler?
I'm not sure, I'd guess a squirter with a bigger ball and passage would do it. You may want a high volume oil pump at that point to avoid losing too much pressure, an oil pressure gauge would be a must IMO. IIRC the squirters are open at 20psi +. Perhaps I can find a bigger squirter that is a banjo mount and work on that design?

I don't see a problem with this design Myke.
As a matter a fact i like the idea that it looks simple thus keeping the cost down.
if someone was to send you a block like that and get you to add squirters there like that one in the photo what kinda labour are you looking for?
shippings going to be a botch
