I have a nice diesel Volkwagen that is hard to find. It has a rebuilt engine 1600 turbo diesel (110k miles ago), 5 speed trans with rebuilt clutch, new alternator, starter, half shafts, motor mounts, wheel bearings, ceramic brake pads, Kyb shocks and struts, resealed and calibrated pump. Many upgrades such as factory tach, Synchro body kit, Synchro rear disk brakes, Synchro 14" wheels and tires. trailer hitch, custom front mount inter cooler, and all parts needed for a great SVO or WVO (vegetable oil) system. It has a large water heated Racor 6104 fuel filter, Polack gear driven fuel valve, manifold to selectively shut off or on heated coolant, hose over hose lines, monitoring for filter plugging and wvo temp, semi- auto system. Major parts already installed, lines ran, gauges in. Cloth interior, no sunroof, manual windows (all work), gold exterior. No rust.

You also get an almost complete 2nd gold wagon- but no engine. Same color- nice exterior, vinyl interior, power windows.

Drives great. Piles of receipts. I use Delo 15-40 oil, changed every 3000miles.  I plan on selling, but what is it worth?

The folks on ebay not too interested??
Thought I saw it there.
Seems like ebay was going great-guns there for about 3 weeks and then abruptly chilled............

You are correct, it was on Ebay. It only hit $2200.

A friend sold his Dasher wagon (non turbo but 5 speed upgrade) that was all original for $3600, then someone else resold it for more (over $4k).
