oil leaking out of lower dipstick tube.

I have oil leaking out from between the dipstick tube and the hole that it fits into. Is there an o ring that is supposed to fit on to the dipstick tube or how does it seal? I removed it, cleaned it, put RTV on the mating surface, then reinstalled it but after a few miles oil started to leak out again. Anyone elce had this problem?

You may be able to do a search. I have read that a few times and they say there is an oring. Everyone says oring with some silicon in a cleaned tube and hole.

Yes I did. Mine had a washer at the bottom to push the oring down I believe. I cleaned the dipstick tube and block with brake cleaner and put another washer down in the hole then RTV then the factory washer and no problems yet.
