How much are you looking to spend?  Since it's an '05 that means it has Pumpe Duese injection and that means that no power mods are cheap.  Injectors are $400/each for a total of $1600 to change your injectors.

The power mod that I've been toying with is a KermaTDI Q-Loader and performance tune for $735.  Guys that have that mod are reporting an increase of 30 to 40 Hp and around 40 ft-lbs increase in torque.  There are other tuners out there such as RocketChip and others.

(on edit)  I forgot to also mention that the KermaTDI Q-Loader allows you to go back to your stock tune in a matter of minutes which is great if your car is still under warranty.

If you want   a site with good information on TDI's it's TDIClub.  There you'll find more information about maintenance, tuning & performance, and other things that you won't believe it.

I just got my '04 Jetta flashed  with Rocketchip and wow  , it really hauls but now. Well worth the money. It was a PD100 HP and now is about a 130 HP .

you'll want to remember to save up for a clutch kit when you start adding mods. When you start slipping, replace it with a sachs solid flywheel kit and never look back.

I own a bone stock PD and this is what I plan to do in this order.

Injectors aren't worth a whole lot of ponies as far as I can tell, it should be one of the last things you do.

EGT / Boost Guage
Chip Tuning
VR6 Clutch, pressure plate, solid flywheel
Front mount intercooler and improved piping
PD150 intake
Free flowing downpipe and possibly de-cat
Bigger turbo
Limited Slip Diff and other traction mods
