Ok, I need I need injectors for my 1.6 N/A. Would I be better off with the no names from Prothe for $103 shipped, or remanufactured Bosche injectors from Autohauz for $131 shipped, after core charge refund? Just looking for some advice please.

for the little extra money it will cost i'd go with the bosch rebuilt. i would have gone that route, but its about $58 for rebuilt turbo injectors... $24 is so much cheaper and they seem to be working fine after 5000+km's.

I'm still running them as well (Prothe) Over 10k so far. Of course I've not pulled them to see how they are spraying but I'm getting a consistent 40 mpg.

i've got a set of prothe nozzles in my car , and my brother has a set of prothe nozzles in his samuria conversion , both have about a month of use on them and are working very well .`
both sets of nozzles had decent spray patterns .
now assuming his injectors had same nozzles , i wouldn't lose any sleep running them ( but i would be taking them apart and pop testing them before running them ... but i would be doing that with bosch ones too ) .
also be careful , as there is a fair amount of counterfit bosch stuff out there , that is very convincing .

Would you be concerned about getting counterfeit injectors from autohaus.com? I need to have rebuilt injectors pop-tested?? Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Super interesting question...one that I have been sparring with myself. I am in the process of buying a set of used injectors from a member here. Outside of that, I was going to go to my local Bosch rebuilder and simply inquire as to their tolerances on pressures after they rebuild them. My locals spray test them afterwards, but as to what tolerance??
I am fortunate as my local shop foreman is a personable guy and I feel I would get the "straight poop (answer.)"
I just can't currently overcome the deathgrip he would have on my wallet. I have opted to go with less money for the meantime. I run Prothe pistons as the manufacturer of these pistons produce all kinds of pistons for various applications and they have high ISO certification. My choice for injectors would be more stringent.
Injectors: your choice seems to be rice, curry, or hamburger. I'll have mine with ketchup, please.

I made the mistake of buying used injectors from someone on this site, after being told that they were good ones. When I had them looked at by my shop, I was told that the needed rebuilt, due to pitting around the nozzle. The shop wants $53 a piece to rebuild them  Now I have 5 extra injectors that need rebuilt that I paid $10 a piece for
Just trying to figure out what the best thing to do is.

I bit the bullet and ordered the injectors from Autohaus.com for $131 shipped plus core charges. They informed me that the injectors were set properly from the factory, and would not need to be recalibrated.
We will see.

I'm sorry...is that autohaus.com or arizonaautohaus.com?
Are these supposed to be Bosch rebuilds or are they unknowns...I didn't get that part.
Please let us know how it goes. Core charge was like $11, right?
