What is the best way to remove and install the prechamber inserts on the 1.6 diesel heads?

Hammer and a drift, put drift down through the injector hole and hit it. Line up and tap back in when done, peen around it and your done.

This is true, I was going to ask why you wanted to remove them.
The head can and should be machined with them in place.
