you need a test bench to do that.

without a test bench its pretty much set & test, then set & test.. extremely time consuming and if you don't know much about what a diesel should sound like or behave like, then you're pretty much shooting in the dark.

you should aim for low smoke & decent smooth power.  a good basis is to get the idle at around 900 rpm or lower if the car doesn't shake too bad. if you notice that the low end grunt is bad for merging into traffic then you can increase fueling  by 1/4 turns and then adjusting the idle with the service idle screw.  i say 1/4 turns so that you can go back to the way it was before with better accuracy.  if you feel you want to try 1/8 then go for it.

hope this helps.

I'm in the same boat as you. If the govenor is set to 5100 revs max, then the LDA spaceship thingy wont add fuel on boost. Messing with the fuel screw doesn't seem to help.

I basically did the same as you did. Pull the pump, tinker, install, time and test. After about three tries I threw in the towel and dropped the money for a properly rebuilt, calibrated pump. The difference was money well spent with the car making at least a good 20% more power. The midrange on the highway was drastically improved. I highly recommend a good rebuilder with the bench calibration facility. I used Kingston Diesel Service with good results.
