Which TDI engines fit in Mk2 with no fabbing?
« on: July 14, 2008, 10:37:18 am »
Are there any TDI engines that fit the Mk2 bay with no fabrication? I was initially thinking about going with an AAZ block with 1Z/AHU head but if I can get matched stuff than maybe it would be better to do a complete 1Z/AHU engine. Anybody know if 1Z/AHU/ALH fits the Mk2 bay?

Thanks.

1Z/AHU will fit, ALH takes some modification (i think?)

Even the AAZ block is taller, and your 1.6 downpipe with have to be lengthened.

No need to lengthen it, it bolts up just fine. Obviously if you are using a K03 you will run into some problems due to the different downpipe flange.
