short answer , build yourself a 2 tank system , so the veg oil is around 180 degree's f , at the injector .
by testing spray patterns , it apears that up to 30% veg oil can be mixed with diesel without making a huge difference in the spray pattern ( the dropletts are a bit bigger ).
you need to filter the oil to at least 5 microns , and figure out how to seperate the water out of it ( i have been heating it in a 20 gallon barrel with a electric hot water tank element in it , then running it through a special hydralic oil filter designed to remove water , then through a convential water seperater and then a 5 micron filter .
the veg oil won't hurt your injection pump , but rather damage your engine , if it doesn't completely burn before it hits the cylinder walls , then getting into the rings while it's burning , causing the engine oil to burn .
it also has a effect of severly gumming up and glueing the rings to the pistons , and valves into the guides .
the key is figuring out how to make it completely burn in a similar way that diesel burns
