well i wrote a post alittle while ago about my turbo sounding like a BOV when i shifted through gears, i have also read that its happends when your in high boost well turning my boost to stock so its only hiting maybe 10PSI it still does it and i notice even if im going through gears shifting at 2000 (turbo barely spooling up) and i let off gas quick to shift i can still hear a small PSSSSSS noise even when im only at 2-4PSI
i thought this turbo surge thing only happends in high boost or medium
not like 2-4 PSI does it??? theres not a perfeect seal on the air box to the turbo i dont know if thats making the noise? not sure......
also you can defiantly hear it when it started to spool, it whistles pretty loud. the exhaust is free flowing so maybe thats it.....i just want to know that the fact that it whistles apon spooling and this PSSSSS noise when changing gears is normal or am i lookin in the wrong spot the BOV noise sound pretty coool on hard shifdt though, but i still hear it on easy shifts too not nearly as loud but still there

When I lost a piece of the trailing edge of one of turbine blades, I could clearly hear the turbo spool up from 0 psi.
It also made some very odd noises above 10 PSI, and it didn't make boost as willingly as it did befor it lost a chunk of the balde.
Sound familliar?
I suspect you may have a pranged blade on your turbine.
