Hopping for help here...
I have a T2 turbo, just put in a gilles pump, most recently did 2.25 straight from the turbo to the arse.  I need to turn up the psi.  There is a threaded bar behind and below the turbo but I couldn't feel any adjustment nuts.  Is there another way to adjust like bleed if so please help how to.

TIA

Out

Greg

Yes, you can also just bleed air out of the line to the actuator. Not sure how a T2 is set up, but if it's a metal line, you would need to cut it and using something that can stand the hot air, like silicone, splice in a METAL barbed tee, and run tube to your bleeder.

On the t2 it has a threaded bar which goes into the wastegate and a sleeve over this which attaches to the exhaust manifold where it releases the gases when not needed.
To allow it to stay closed longer you unhook it wind the sleeve in  (ie making it shorter) then reattach it where you unhooked it.
It will let the wastegate stay closed longer.

Alternatively you can fit a bleed valve as there should be rubber piping on a t2.

This is the way i do t2's on peugeots so hope its the same.

With a little fine tuning adjusting a cheap boost controller used on the cummins powered pickup truck works perfectly.

I've used them on T3's as well.

Search google for cummins boost elbow,Its a brass 90 deg elbow that can be found for $20

Search for manual boost controller. You put a valve on the hose to the wastegate to bleed boost and fool the WG to think the boost is lower than it is.
Simple, easy to do and allows you to adjust boost easily.
